Rotary began as an idea more than 100 years ago, founded in 1905 by Paul Harris. Today, Rotary flourishes worldwide with 1.2 million members in more than 200 countries and geographical areas .

Rotary encourages and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

Rotaract Stands for Rotary in Action is sponsored by local Rotary clubs, Is a service club Is for young professionals and students ages 18-30. provides young people with opportunities to foster Leadership Responsible citizenship, Promote international peace and understanding Foster fellowship and goodwill.

Rotaract Cairo Royal

was initiated in July 2007 by 7 members and chartered on the 18th of December 2007 with 20 members . We meet every Sunday at 8-pm at Sakiet Abdelmoneim el Sawy in Zamalek . (Ramadan Hours 9 pm.)

Our District 2451

Rotary Clubs are divided into 34 zones which include around 530 districts. Egypt formed its own District- District 2451 in July 2013. Before that it belonged to District 2450 which belongs to Zone 20 and consisted of ten countries: Armenia, Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan and UAE.
